Let me tell y’all a story, 5years ago on this day, my sister was prepped for the longest survey I’ve ever been a part of. She had been waiting for 33days for this surgery after the domestic accident that fractured her right arm.
4th March at about 7 Am — she was wheeled out on a stretcher to the Theater with her words to me being “I’ll be back in time for your birthday”.
13 Hours later, she wasn’t out and all the folks who went into the theater had been taken to the recovery room.
I was worried sick, what kind of metal implant surgery will take this long? just at the peak of my exhaustion, a doctor I had seen earlier told me to pray if not she may never use the arm again.
I told him straight without a second taught that if they don’t fix her arm properly, I’ll chop off theirs too.
He was surprised coming from a frustrated young man who stood outside the theater since 7 Am and had not even gone for food break or any other appointment all because I promised her that I was going to be there when she comes out. — Faith
Plus, I already volunteered to take the first punch for free from the new TERMINATOR hand I imagined it to be since I heard it was a metal implant.
40minutes after 7 Pm, I saw her being wheeled out to the recovery room and guess what? this girl wasn’t even asleep like others, she was asking the doctor of the Ice Cream she sent me to get before the surgery. — Bravery
Oh did I forget to mention they asked me to get 8packs of blood and none was used? Well, I didn’t get a refund either.
All this is to appreciate God for 5 years later, she doesn’t even remember she has a metal that doesn’t beep at metal dictators and magnets failed the test too, which is still what amazes me tho.
Maybe it was all in my head, but she’s stronger than you can imagine maybe not like power puff girls, but enough to fetch water and help me with laundries when she’s around.
Lastly, I haven't seen that doctor I threatened since then, if you happen to see him by chance, tell him she’s fine and he could come out now.
God did it- My gratitude will always be to Him alone.
